Quiana Matthews

Bio

​Quiana Matthews is a highly motivated and dedicated counselor at the Family Counseling Center of the CSRA.  She is dual headed as an addictions counselor and a counseling intern. Quiana received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from The University of Maryland University College and is currently working on a Master’s of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy Counseling at Capella University.  Quiana has a passion for assisting families, couples, and individuals through evidence-based therapeutic practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Narrative Therapy. 
Quiana is originally from Baltimore, Maryland but grew up in the CSRA.  She is a disabled veteran with 14 years of military service as well as a military spouse and mother.  During her time in the military, she served as Signals Collection Analyst and an Equal Opportunity Leader (EO) for various commands.  She discovered her passion for helping others over the many years of serving as a leader, mentor, and counselor to numerous service members.  Quiana believes her purpose in life is to help others be their best selves.
