I’m Navita and I am an associate professional counselor in the state of Georgia. I am originally from South Florida; however, I now call Augusta home due to being a military spouse. I specialize in working with internalizing disorders such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD/trauma. I am trained in perinatal mental health, and I am a certified clinical trauma professional. I have a heavy background working with children and adolescents but have recently come to thoroughly enjoy working with adults, as well! I use a person-centered approach, meaning I believe that all humans are capable of healing on their own. Our work together will be on your terms and, most importantly, using your goals. I use a Gestalt approach to confront clients on maladaptive behaviors that may serve as an obstacle on their journey toward their healing. It is my utmost priority to provide individualized care and ensure I am mindful and considerate of my clients’ culture. After all, we all come from different backgrounds and value systems, and I am not in the business of putting my own thoughts, values, or beliefs onto my clients. I wholeheartedly believe in providing a trusting and comfortable space for therapy and growth to occur. If you’re considering therapy, I encourage you to come in and let me have the honor of helping you help yourself.
