Joella Banks can be described as compassionate, focused, and charismatic. She has nearly a decade of experience in the mental health field and specifically working with children and adolescents that have highly acute psychiatric needs.
She has worked diligently to aid individuals in building coping skills that are healthy, as well as, helping individuals build effective means to deal with life’s stressful situations. As graduate from the Georgia State University, Joella brings a love for working with diverse populations and an ability to think outside of the box when solving problems.
While growing up in the CSRA, Joella learned that a small group of people working together and caring about one another can make amazing things happen. This fostered in her a love for helping others. As the Executive Director at Family Counseling Center (FCC), Joella is able to indulge in her passion of aiding others.
She is excited to be in a position to aid individuals in her hometown and is devoted to helping FCC be a recourse to as many individuals as possible.

"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass but learning to dance in the rain."
“If you can’t fly, then run.
If you can’t run, then walk.
If you can’t walk, then crawl.
But whatever you do,
You have to keep moving forward.”
