Counseling One-on-One

Are you dealing with a particular struggle and need some assistance finding your way?  Perhaps, you are unfulfilled or trapped in a relationship that is not meeting your needs or has become riddled with conflict.  Do you find yourself losing confidence?  It can seem almost unbearable to sort through the conflicting feelings and thoughts racing around in your mind.
You may find yourself feeling sad, or anxious by stressors in your life that seem out of our control.  Stress can come when we least expected it.  You may be feeling depressed and worried after the birth of your child.  Perhaps, you are dealing with the death of a loved one, job or life goal.  When undergoing pain and loss, you can simply lose your way and become disorganized about how to move onward.
It is usual to go through tough times in your life, but you do not have to fight alone!

Therapeutic Relationship

One-on-one counseling is an influential experience of self-discovery which can lead you to many of the answers to your complications and difficulties in life.  The alliance between you and your therapist is matchless and personal. You are partaking and discovering gentle parts of your world so certainly safety and trust are paramount to this practice. It is significant you feel secure and accepted by your therapist. At Family Counseling Center, we care genuinely about our clients and feel privileged to be part of the restorative and revolutionary process that therapy can offer.

Benefits

While many people experience a unique journey through individual psychotherapy, there are a few truths that span each person’s journey, and are an important part of the work:
  • To embrace and listen to my feelings
  • To tolerate pain in order to grow
  • To like, love and care for myself
  • To learn I am powerful to change my life
  • To learn to live in the small moments
  • To bravely look at past experiences and learn
  • To grieve losses and fully move into the present moment
